The British Mountain Bike Series is the country’s biggest biking event with 5 venues playing host to a number of races, demos and endurance tests. The Bike Series offers whole families the chance to see some excellent riding from the country’s biggest riders. And for the first time ever, 2010 will see some of the country’s biggest bike makers attend the new demo events which showcase the best bikes around. Giant Mountain Bikes are one of those manufacturers who will be attending the demos along with others like trek and Specialised where riders will be able to test-ride the latest mountain bike models.
It will be the first event of its kind and people from across the UK will be able to experience a demo as there are 5 venues in total. The venues include Nottinghamshire, Plymouth, Yorkshire, South Wales and London. The Managing Director of Giant Mountain Bikes, Ian Beasant has promised those who attend the event that no matter what their ability they will be able to learn something from the Giant team be it technical knowledge, new tricks or good locations to take the family biking.
With the addition of these new demos and the activities taking place at all 5 venues, the organisers of the British Series hope that 2010 will be their best year ever. Cross country challenges, under-12s races and endurance tasks all help to make this event one not-to-miss. Over 4000 riders attended the BMBS events last year and there are high hopes that 2010 will see even more mountain bike enthusiasts visit the venues.
Not only are these events packed with all sorts of biking bonanzas but they also offer the chance for a great weekend away. Near to some of our venues there are activities including deer parks, adventure playgrounds, castles and forests all waiting to be explored. You might just do something you never knew existed in the UK.
