Most colleges and universities offer student orientation to incoming freshmen. It may or may not be required that you attend your school’s orientation, but I recommend that you make every effort to be there as a way of preparinyour first year of college. (more…)

When I was in school back in the 1980’s, many people didn’t have home computers.  In fact, typing wasn’t even a mandatory course back then!  Because my mother was a secretary and felt that typing skills were important to have, I took typing.  I’m glad that I did!

Have you been to your local library recently? 

During these difficult economic times, I’ve noticed that there are many more people checking out books than in years past. I guess people figured out that instead of buying books at the local bookstore, they could borrow the books from the library.  This is a great way to stretch your budget!
